Fender and Jack White Team Up for a New Signature Collection
Two-Tone Telecaster, Jaguar, and Mustang to Pack Plenty of Custom Touches, Including Some Crazy Design Features
Fender has announced a collaboration with Jack White that's set to drop a new signature collection and some limited-edition instruments. Slated to land this Fall, the collection is called "The Jack White Collection," and includes a two-tone Telecaster, Jaguar, and Mustang.
Custom Touches
The three guitars in the collection all come with their own unique touches. The Telecaster, for example, features a butterscotch body with a black pickguard, complete with a custom-designed lightning bolt inlay on the fretboard. It has a custom pickup configuration that includes a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge position and a Fender Wide Range humbucker in the neck position.
Other Features
Other features on the Telecaster include a three-way toggle switch, a master volume knob, and a master tone knob. It also has a string-through-body design for added sustain. The Jaguar and Mustang in the collection also come with their own unique features. The Jaguar has a black body with a white pickguard, and a custom-designed "Triple X" inlay on the fretboard. The Mustang has a candy apple red body with a black pickguard, and a custom-designed "Arrow" inlay on the fretboard.
All three guitars in the collection will be available in limited quantities. The Telecaster will be limited to 1,000 units, the Jaguar will be limited to 500 units, and the Mustang will be limited to 250 units.
Fender has yet to announce the pricing for the guitars in the collection, but they are expected to be priced at a premium.
This is not the first time that Fender has collaborated with Jack White. In 2012, the company released a limited-edition Jack White Stratocaster. That guitar was also a big hit, and it's likely that the new collection will be just as popular.
