The Union Dispels Myths and Misconceptions About Tuberculosis
7th Edition of TBScience to Focus on TB Research
World Conference on Lung Health 2024 to be Held in Indonesia
The Union has launched a campaign to dispel 13 common myths, misconceptions, and half-truths about tuberculosis (TB), which continue to hinder efforts to end the disease. The campaign aims to provide accurate information and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health.
In conjunction with the campaign, The Union is hosting the 7th edition of TBScience, an official event dedicated to basic and translational TB research. The event will bring together leading scientists and researchers from around the world to share their latest findings and collaborate on innovative approaches to combat TB.
The World Conference on Lung Health 2024, organized by The Union, will take place in the Bali International Convention Centre in Bali, Indonesia, a high-burden TB country. The conference will focus on promoting people-centered language in all conference abstracts and presentations, ensuring that the voices of those affected by TB are heard.
The Union's efforts to address TB are crucial, as the disease remains the leading infectious killer worldwide. Through initiatives such as TBScience and the World Conference on Lung Health, The Union is committed to advancing TB research, dispelling misinformation, and advocating for people-centered approaches to end this deadly disease.
